In the modern education is important to point out that what matters more in a classrooms are the ability of being more open of new ways of teaching. It's important that learning is alive, messy and meaningful and as a core being able to understand and have a purpose.
One way that teachers can incorporate an affective teaching method that not only challenges the student but also makes them corporate with other students and test their knowledge, is by giving them projects that help them understand what they had learned throughout each lesson.
- “Grab your students’ attention with a video, experiment, or other engaging content” (Harrington 3). This method of engagement can provide different ways for students to learn. For example a student might be a visual learner and would need a video to help explain certain concepts. This not only makes it more engaging but promotes students to want to learn more.
- "This is a. good time to use videos, articles, textbook content, and class discussions mini-lessons" (Harrington 4). The point that the author is that incorporating this kind of ideas to students while they are continuing to understand more of about the different aspects of the lesson they are learning this would ensure that students will be able to understand the content much better and the topic can resonate with them much easier when they understand what they are learning.
"Once you being to adapt your lessons to incorporate projects throughout your unit, you will be surprised at how quickly this becomes second nature to you" (Harrington 4). The methods used in this examples elaborate the ideas of having more engaging and informative lessons of students to understand the content better by adding the ideas of different methods of teaching such as videos, projects and other engaging material can help develop the mindsets of students to not only created a better learning environment but most important to foster the idea of fully understanding the various forms of teaching in modern classrooms.
